Document Description
The California Department of Transportation, District 4 Maintenance Division is conducting environmental studies to repair slip-out at postmile 43.9-44.8 next to U.C Davis in the City of Davis in Solano County. Damage Assessment was completed on June 15TH 2022 which concluded that surface water runoff has created a sinkhole under and behind the MBGR. This project will stabilize the MBGR posts, stabilize slope adjacent to the highway and restore proper function of an affected guardrail system. Work includes removal of deleterious or unsound material, inject compaction grouting to stabilize and protect concrete slab and roadway shoulder, place RSP fabric and ¼ ton RSP, backfill gullies with imported borrow material, and reinstall guardrail posts and restore vegetation control pad.
