This project proposes to rehabilitate the northbound lanes of divided Interstate 5 in and near Lebec from Post Mile (PM) R0.0 at the Los Angeles County line to PM 4.4 at Grapevine Creek Bridge. It is proposed to replace the #2 and #3 lanes with Continuously Reinforced Concrete Pavement (CRCP); the other lanes and the shoulders will replace failed slabs and grind the Portland Cement Concrete (PCC) pavement. Also, Traffic Management System (TMS) elements need to be upgraded and the Metal Beam Guard Rail (MGBR) needs to be upgraded to current standards. All proposed work is within Caltrans Right of Way.
