The Project would remove sediment build up near two (2) Twin Oaks Irrigation Company’s irrigation pumps that sit along the San Joaquin River (SJR). Project activities include sediment removal approximately 50-feet radius directly around the North Pump Station, 375-linear feet along the north Site backwater channel and approximately 50-feet directly around the South Pump Station. The Project also includes the addition of approximately 100 square yards of riprap at the westside of the north pump backchannel and the planting of 0.02 acre of native willow cuttings adjacent to the rip-rap area along the sandbar. The Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control is issued a 401 Water Quality Certification for the Project.
