Document Description
The proposed project involves upgrading the Lassen Modoc Unit (LMU) Bieber Helipad. The project area is on previously disturbed ground on an active helitack base that is relatively flat and approximately 0.23 acres in size. Construction activities will include importing of base rock, grading an area approximately 100’ x 100’, trenching for helipad utilities, installation of signage, forming and pouring a concrete helipad 75’ x 75’and installation of landing lights. Base material will be aggregate base rock suitable for required compaction with a wheeled roller. Subsurface utilities trenching will be 12” to 24”in depth. The project is expected to take approximately 45 days to complete.
