Document Description
The Sierra Nevada Conservancy would provide funding for project prioritization and partner engagement towards planning for forest health and fire protection projects across Plumas County. This includes project scoping, public comments, and resource surveys needed to complete National Environmental Policy Act and California Environmental Quality Act analysis for the approximately 5000-acre potential fuels reduction and community protection project in the WUI on the north side of the town of Quincy.

The project is also categorically exempt under CEQA Section 15306, Information Collection (Class 6) because it consists of basic data collection and analysis and resource evaluation activities which do not result in any disturbance to an environmental resource. The project purpose is for information gathering as part of an assessment and study leading to a potential future action which has not yet approved, adopted, or funded.
