The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), using state funding only, is proposing to restore the roadway to a condition that requires minimal maintenance. The project will apply a 0.10’ overlay hot mix asphalt (HMA) on SR 36 in Trinity County. The entirety of the project will cover approximately 5 miles in two locations (PM 15.8/16.9, PM 20.5/24.5).
