Document Description
The project is limited to the excavation of two bell holes and a pipe replacement within each hole. Both excavations will occur within the leveed portion of Arcade Creek, outside the wetted riparian area of the creek, but within the floodway. The southern excavation requires an approximately 8-foot by 10- foot bell hole. Following excavation, the existing sleeve will be removed and replaced with a sleeve
(with elbow) with straight pipe. The northern excavation requires an approximately 6-foot by 8-foot bell hole to remove a save-a-valve and replace it with straight pipe. Work will occur over an approximately 2020 square foot shared work area. All other vehicles and equipment will be parked/staged in the staging area on the north side of the existing flood wall, in an approximately 5,140 square foot vacant lot/easement area, south of the intersection of Rivera Drive and Belden Street.
