Document Description
A request for an Easement Vacation of multiple City of San Diego water easements, two of which are next to each other and are approximately 150 feet wide which starts west of La Media Parkway and cuts across La Media Parkway South and La Media Parkway North to Avenida Caprise. Another approximately 100-foot-wide portion starts just north of Calle Escuela and runs south along Avenida Caprise then runs east of Avenida Caprise terminating north of La Media Parkway. The last approximately 100-foot-wide portion starts north of La Media Parkway and runs east of Avenida Caprise and ending at Avenida Caprise. The portion of the pipeline within the easements is identified as Phase VI has been realigned consistent with the Otay II Pipeline Improvements EIR. Furthermore, the portion of the pipeline within the easements has been abandoned. The project site is located at the southern terminus of La Media Road south of Santa Luna Street within the City of Chula Vista. The easements are over portions of Lots 3, 10, 11, 12, 17, 19, 22, 29, 30, A, B, C, D, E, I and N of Map No. 16428 and portions of Main Street West, Main Street East, La Media Parkway South, La Media Parkway North and Avenida Caprise.

Reasons for Exemption
Reasons why project is exempt: The City of San Diego coo ducted an environmental review which determined the project would not have the potential for causing a significant effect on the environment in that the project is consistent with the community plan and the applicable zone. The project would not result in any significant environmental impacts. The project meets the criteria set forth in CEQA Section 15305 (Minor Alterations in Land Use Limitation) which allows for minor alterations in land use limitations in areas with an average slope of less Revised May 2018 than 20% which do not result in any changes in land use or density, including but not limited to minor lot line adjustments, side yard, and setback variances not resulting in the creation of any new parcel.
