LACFCD proposes to conduct routine maintenance activities at 23 additional debris basin facilities. These activities include debris removal, tree trimming, vegetation mowing, brush clearance, entrainment channel maintenance, sediment removal, and access road maintenance. The project does not involve any additional construction or other activities, and it is limited to ongoing maintenance activities required to protect downstream property and infrastructure from potential damage caused by flooding and debris flows. Routine maintenance activities are authorized within 197 debris basin facilities operated by LACFCD.
