Reasons for Exemption
The purpose of the project is to maintain a previously cleared runway safety area surrounding the airport runway. Native brush and small trees have grown densely and rapidly and now pose a safety risk to aircraft that use the runway. Airport runway has been closed to public use until the vegetation maintenance can be performed. Some erosion caused by drainage also must be repaired along the runway for safety.
