[Project Title Continued]: and Comprehensive Zoning Code (ZC) Addendum No. 1 documents minor changes to IS/ND No. IP 22-0133 for the Housing-Related amendments to the County of Orange GP and Comprehensive ZC Project to conform to State law. To meet its RHNA allocation, the County is rezoning residential professional and commercial zoning districts to a new Mixed-Use (MX) zone and rezoning the Two-Family Residential (R2D) zone to the Multifamily Dwellings (R2) or Suburban Multifamily Dwellings (R4) zones. In addition, as part of the amendments the County is updating the multifamily residential development standards to require a minimum base density of 30 Dwelling units per acre (du/ac). The update to the base density is less than the 70 du/ac maximum density for the Housing Opportunities Overlay studied in IS/ND No. IP 22-0133. The proposed changes to the GP and ZC fall within the scope of the resource impacts as analyzed in IS/ND No. IP 22-0133. No actual physical changes are proposed at this time.
