Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number EPIMS-TRI-14705-R1C, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Dominic Caballero.
The project is limited to two encroachments. One encroachment is for water diversion from an unnamed tributary to Kettenpom Creek. Water is diverted for domestic use. Work for the water diversion will include installation, use, and maintenance of the water diversion infrastructure. The other proposed encroachment is to remove an onstream impoundment. Work for this encroachment will include excavation, removal of the fill that acts to impound water at the outlet, removal of the culvert at the outlet, grading of the channel slopes as described in the Notification, backfilling and compaction of fill, and rock armoring as necessary to minimize erosion.

Reasons for Exemption
The project will decommission a failing onstream pond and permit limited domestic water diversion that meets condition to protect aquatic species. There would be no significant adverse impact on endangered, rare or threatened species or their habitat pursuant to section 15065. There are no hazardous materials at or around the project site that may be disturbed or removed. The project will not result in impacts that are significant when viewed in connection with the effects of past projects, the effects of other current projects, and the effects of probable future projects.
