Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed a Lake or Streambed Alteration Agreement number EPIMS-SMO-27988-R3, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Karla Smith.
The Project will conduct sediment core samplings and geotechnical core samplings within the Searsville Reservoir area including one geotechnical core sampling below Seasrsville dam in San Francisquito Creek. Sediment core sampling is needed to evaluate sediment quality to help Stanford assess and characterize the presence, location, and extent of constituents in accumulated sediment trapped behind the dam. Geotechnical core sampling is needed to obtain data on the soil and rock conditions to facilitate detailed design of the modifications to the dam (i.e., trestle to facilitate construction of new tunnel outlet and plunge pool). The sediment core sampling and
geotechnical core sampling are being done to collect background information for the future Searsville Watershed Restoration Project.
