Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. EPIMS-RIV-28239-R6, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Southern California Edison as represented by Hazem Gabr. The project is limited to removing and replacing one deteriorated wood pole (Pole 1895120E) within a stream. The new pole will be set by truck approximately 3 feet south of the current pole location. The new hole will be dug by hand or by a machine auger. Standard excavation depths range between 6 and 10 feet with a diameter of 2 to 3 feet. The area of soil disturbance (i.e., excavation, side casting and backfill) will be limited to approximately 10 feet around the pole, as well as a general 25-foot temporary work area around the pole for the staging and operation of construction vehicles and equipment. The pole will be accessed from the southeastern shoulder of De Portola Road. Replacement of the pole will necessitate riparian tree trimming of up to 50% of the canopy of six mature coast live oaks with diameter of breast height (dbh) ranging from 3.6 to 28.1 inches.
