Document Description
The project will modify a low water crossing that acts as a barrier to salmon and steelhead migration under most flows by installing a box culvert crossing. The existing structure will be removed and disposed of off-site and the stream bed will be recontoured to improve fish passage conditions. The project will be implemented during the low-flow / dry season. The purpose is to benefit native fisheries and other native aquatic species in Dye Creek and the Sacramento River.

The project is exempt under 15301 (Replacement or Reconstruction) because the new structure will be located at the same site and will have substantially the same purpose and traffic capacity as the replaced structure.
