The industrial hemp cultivation land use permit will apply to the 17.27-acre parcel located within Contra Costa County.

Project is categorically exempt under Class 4: California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines Section 15304, which exempts, minor public or private alterations in the condition of land, water, and/or vegetation which do not involve removal of mature, scenic trees except for forestry and agricultural purposes. The Project site is an existing outdoor industrial hemp cultivation area that has been operational since 2019 without any violation. Site preparation includes clearing of weeds, tillage, and other agricultural industry practices typical of preparing for cultivation of row crops. No tree removal is necessary. Therefore, the Project meets the criteria of this exemption.
