Document Description
The State Water Resources Control Board (State Water Board) is a Responsible Agency for the Project. The Applicant has applied for financial assistance from the State Water Board for the Project referred to internally as Waterline Upgrades and Improvement Project. The Project includes replacement of 15,900 linear feet of aging waterlines and installation of 28 fire hydrants within the South Tahoe Public Utility District’s service area. The Project will take place in two phases: Herbert Walkup (Phase 1) and Bijou #1 (Phase 2). Herbert Walkup (Phase 1) includes replacement of 9,400 linear feet of poor-condition steel waterline, install approximately 16 fire hydrants, and intertie of new main at nine sites. Bijou #1 (Phase 2) includes replacement of 6,500 linear feet of undersized waterline and adding 12 fire hydrants.
