Document Description
This proposed project involves construction and operation of 3 industrial/warehouse buildings totaling approximately 2,520,000 square feet on approximately 143 acres. It also includes off-site utility and public street improvements, including improvements along Stoddard Wells Road and Johnson Road, as well as installation of or upsizing of water and sewer lines in the immediate vicinity of the Project site. Project Activities include grubbing and grading of the entire Project Site before construction of the buildings, Western Joshua Tree removal for relocation, and paving/repaving of the roadways and pavement surfaces after the buildings/public utilities are completed. The Project will result in incidental take of 71 western Joshua tree (Yucca brevifolia). which is protected under the WJTCA and the California Endangered Species Act. The WJTCA ITP referenced above as issued by CDFW authorizes incidental take of western Joshua tree that may occur as a result of Project implementation.
