Document Description
The project is limited to the construction of a fish monitoring station including four main components: resistance board weir, upstream passage complex, a PIT tag antenna array, and the solar power system. Access to the project site will utilize existing paved haul roads, a rocked and maintained access road, and the Feather River. For weir and floodplain box construction, materials will primarily be brought in by boat. Within the vegetated and undisturbed areas, the Project will be accessed by foot to reduce potential impacts to vegetation and habitat. The weir will require in-water work and will be constructed using hand tools. Heavy equipment will be used to haul materials and construct the solar power system components and staging areas, including a variety of earthmoving equipment such as excavators, backhoes, compactors, graders, and dump trucks. Water trucks, service trucks, and other typical construction vehicles will be present as well. Sampling, monitoring, maintenance, and operation of the weir or associated facilities are not included as part of the project.
