Document Description
DWR and Contractor will perform geologic and concrete cores, geologic-only cores, and concrete-only cores. Geologic cores will be conducted to characterize the spillway foundation, and concrete cores will be conducted at and around Cedar Springs Dam. Water for the coring will be pumped from the reservoir. Wastewater from coring in the spillway will be contained throughout the coring process to prevent entering the stilling basin and properly disposed of after coring. All work will be within DWR right of way.

The State Water Project provides significant and important services to many Californians. This project is exempt because it involves data collection activities for a safe water supply. This project will not result in impacts to special status species or habitat. Because this activity can be implemented without any environmental impacts, the Categorical Exemption Class 6 will be used for CEQA compliance
