Document Description
The California Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC), pursuant to authority granted under California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 4.5, Chapter 20, Section 66270.61, has issued an Emergency Permit to ABC Testing, LLC, (EPA ID# CAL000455248) to treat hazardous wastes through a controlled reaction with chemical solutions. Specifically, 1.6 liters (1x1 liter, 1x500 milliliter, and 1x100 milliliter containers) of Ethylene Glycol Dimethyl Ether; 500 milliliters of 1,4 Dioxane (1x500 milliliters); 4 liters of Ethyl Ether (1x4 liters); 100 milliliters of t-Butyl Methyl Ether (1x100 milliliters), 100 milliliters of Methacrylic Acid (1x100 milliliters); 100 milliliters of Acrylic Acid (1x100 milliliters); and 50 grams (2x25 gram containers) of 2,4 Dinitrophenylhydrazine must be stabilized prior to transport to an authorized hazardous waste treatment, storage, and disposal facility. These chemicals are currently stored at ABC Testing, LLC, located at 17031 Dailmer Street, Irvine, CA 92614. DTSC has determined as a safety precaution to prevent an accident or severe injury, an Emergency Permit should be issued to chemically stabilize the hazardous waste prior to storage and transportation off-site by Clean Harbors Environmental Services (CHES).
