Document Description
title continued: Kern County Water Agency (Agency) 2022 State Water Project (SWP) Table A water and/or previously banked SWP water. ID4 will exchange up to 20,000 af of 2022 SWP Table A water and/or previously banked SWP water with Rosedale for an equal amount of Kern River water. The SWP water will be delivered to Rosedale at Reach 12E and/or 13B on the California Aqueduct or at other mutually agreeable locations. The Kern River water will be delivered to ID4 into the Calloway Pool of the Kern River or at other mutually agreeable locations. The exchange of ID4's SWP Table A water for Rosedale's Kern River water will facilitate in-district delivery of Rosedale's water and provide ID4 an economic benefit by foregoing pumping lifts through the Cross Valley Canal. All other mutually agreeable locations are located within the Kern groundwater basin so that the total water supply to Kern County is not diminished. There is no construction, land use change, or modification to existing facilities; no new lands will be brought into production as a result of the exchange.
