Document Description
The Project involves activities related to the replacement of existing culvert pipe, and the construction of new concrete headwalls and/or wingwalls at the culvert facilities listed above. Project activities will also include the revegetation of temporarily disturbed areas. Work will be completed when the streams are dry. Project activities may necessitate the Permittee’s acquisition of temporary construction easements for construction and access, night work is not scheduled at this time. The Project will result in approximately 472.5 square feet of permanent impacts in association with the installation of longer culverts compared to existing, and the placement of concrete headwalls and wingwalls. The Project will also result in a total of 7,709 square feet of temporary impacts, in association with Project activities.

In general, the Maricopa Highway Capital Maintenance Project (Project) extends east from the City of Maricopa between post miles 0.0 and 10.2 on State Route (SR)166 within Kern County. The Project involves 8 culverts located near the following SR 166 Post Mile (PM) markers: 2.0, 3.46, 3.96, 6.43, 6.70, 6.79, 6.82, and 10.04. The culvert locations were designated Locations No. 3, No. 5, No. 6, No. 14, No. 15, No. 16, No. 17, and No. 23 by Permittee.
