Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) using state funds, is proposing to rehabilitate six culverts on State Route (SR) 96 at post-miles (PM) 50.75, PM 51.85, PM 51.98, PM 52.82, and PM 55.83 in Siskiyou County. The project is needed because the culverts have failing conditions and are at the end of the service life. All culverts have heavy corrosion and at some locations there are voids in the culvert material. The conditions of the culverts could lead to a failure to function as intended and this could lead to erosion of the highway. This project will reestablish proper drainage and structural integrity of six culverts along the highway.
