Reasons for Exemption
Pursuant to §21080.28(a) the acquisition of this property is exempt from CEQA because the purpose of the acquisition is to preserve the land for park purposes as specified in subsection (a)(1)(F). There is a potential to use a portion of the property for a facility for Sonoma Water, but that portion of the project is not defined in sufficient detail. A CEQA analysis will take place in the future, once the project has been defined.
