Document Description
The Project is limited to 13 crossings of eight streams including seven rock armored ford crossings and six bridges. The Project is part of realigning the existing Memorial Trail and nearby use trails, decommissioning 1.77 miles of existing trail, constructing 1.48 miles of new trail, and upgrading 0.48 miles of existing trail. The bridges will consist of untreated lumber, steel, or fiberglass set in concrete foundations. The four bridges to be built on the Memorial Trail will be six feet wide and 30, 16, 24, and 30 feet long, respectively. The two bridges to be built on the Malone Trail will both be four feet wide and 18 feet long bridges and ford crossings will be constructed using standard plans. Trail dozers, mini-excavators, compactors, cement mixers, rubber track carriers, generators, All Terrain Vehicles, generators, jackhammers, power saws, and other hand tools would be used to construct the rock armored ford crossings and bridges. The Project will result in 1,226 square feet and 271 linear feet of permanent impacts associated with bridge footings and shading and rock armored ford crossings, and 146 square feet and 490 linear feet of temporary disturbance.
