Document Description
The project includes 12 culvert replacements and one culvert rehabilitation. The project is part of a larger roadway rehabilitation project along various state routes (SR 26, 12, 108, and 120) in Calaveras and Tuolumne Counties. Using the cut-and-cover method, existing culverts will be excavated and replaced with reinforced concrete pipes. Culvert work will consist of the following: installation of new flared end sections, straight headwalls, stress reducing slabs, dike, and overside drain; placement of rock slope protection (RSP); ditch stabilization, construction, and grading; extension of culvert pipe; and concrete paving within the invert of an existing box culvert. Temporary water diversion systems will be installed and removed as necessary for any in-stream work where there is stream flow or standing water. Trimming and removal of vegetation within riparian habitat will be performed as necessary.
