Document Description
The Fish and Game Commission proposes to amend a variety of regulations related to sport fishing. The proposed project will amend bag and possession limits for black bass, striped bass, catfish, and trout; extend the low-flow closure period for areas north of San Francisco; and add a low-flow closure target for the San Lorenzo River and its tributaries. The project will amend regulations on recreational take of crabs in marine waters for consistency with the upcoming 365-day fishing license pursuant to implementation of Assembly Bill 817 (Wood, 2021). In addition, this project will make needed corrections to existing regulations. The proposed regulatory changes are needed for clarity and to improve regulatory enforcement.
