Document Description
The Project will be conducted by excavating the access road material within the channel of Town Creek and replacing the existing road material with larger rocks of appropriate size to withstand the flows in Town Creek (2- to 3-foot diameter rock). Gravel will be installed on the roadway surface on top of the rock. Material excavated from the crossing will be stored in an area outside of the bed, bank, and channel of Town Creek. Activities will occur in summer when flows in Town Creek are less than 10 gallons per minute. If water is present in Town Creek during construction, it will be diverted around the work area using gravel/sandbag dams covered in plastic sheeting and a 4-inch hose. These materials will be removed following completion of activities within Town Creek. An excavator will be required to conduct the improvements. Work will occur over 1 to 2 workdays. Maintenance will be conducted as needed and could include the replacement of rock and gravel using hand tools or an excavator.
