Document Description
The purpose of the Project is to demolish an existing pier and to reconstruct a new pier with an adjustable catwalk and boat lift at the subject property in Lake Tahoe. The Project, located in feed and cover fish habitat according to Tahoe Regional Planning Agency (TRPA) Fish Habitat Map, will remove approximately 7.0 square feet of existing structural pier elements and will install approximately 7.7 square feet of new structural pier elements. The Project will result in a net increase of 0.7 square feet of permanent impacts to Lake Tahoe. Equipment required for pier removal and pile driving activities will be operated from an amphibious barge. Temporary water quality impacts in the project area may result from disturbance of lakebed sediment during amphibious barge movement and staging, pile driving, and pile removal.
