Based on the scope of the work, the Project would not exceed 5 acres in size and would assure restoration of habitat along the Santa Clara River. Construction of this Project is found to be categorically exempt under the provisions of CEQA and the State CEQA Guidelines as described below: The Project, aka the whole of the action, qualifies for an exemption under CEQA Guidelines Section 15333 – Small Habitat Restoration Project and would not result in a significant adverse impact on endangered, rare or threatened species or their habitat. The project would not result in impacts that are significant when combined with other projects. There are no hazardous materials at or around the project site that will be disturbed or removed.
