The proposed project is an update of the City of Moorpark’s General Plan. The update includes the following chapters with individual elements that address all the required topics in state law: Land Use Element, Circulation Element, Housing Element, Economic Development Element, Open Space, Parks, and Recreation Element, Conservation Element, Safety Element, Noise Element. The Moorpark General Plan 2050 could result in a potential buildout total of 17,025 housing units, 53,781 residents, 13,567,083 nonresidential square feet, and 20,249 jobs. Compared to existing conditions, the proposed project could result in an increase of 5,488 units, 17,336 residents, 4,783,912 nonresidential square feet, and 7,334 jobs. Implementation of the proposed project would result in significant and unavoidable impacts to Agricultural and Forestry Resources, Air Quality, Biological Resources, Cultural Resources, Greenhouse Gas Emissions, Hazards and Hazardous Materials, Noise, and Wildfire.
