Document Description
DWR and Contractor will perform water well work at Barker Slough Pumping Plant. A new six inch water well will be installed to replace existing well on site. When well is complete, bollards will be installed around new well. Project waste will be contained in drums for off site disposal. The existing water well will be converted to monitoring well. DFD personnel will remove all the well contents and properly dispose of equipment. Cascade will purge the water and re-develop the well. All work will be on disturbed paved area and within DWR right of way.

The State Water Project provides significant and critical services to many Californians. This project is exempt because it involves routine maintenance activities. This project will not result in impacts to special status species or habitat. The Categorical Exemption Class 1 will be used for CEQA compliance as this activity will be implemented without any significant environmental impacts.
