Document Description
DWR and Contractor will repair Bethany Reservoir spillway concrete. The repairs will require minor vegetation removal. Repairs will include concrete removal, concrete surface preparation, and placement of concrete patch and joint sealant material. Loose or defective concrete will be removed using a jackhammer and surface preparation may use a pressure washer, sand blasting and compressed air. All debris and loose concrete material will be hauled to an approved disposal site. Staff will use existing paved maintenance roads and designated parking areas. All work is within DWR right of way.

The State Water Project provides significant and critical services to many Californians. This project is exempt because it involves routine maintenance activities. This project will not result in impacts to special status species or habitat. The Categorical Exemption Class 1 will be used for CEQA compliance as this activity will be implemented without any significant environmental impacts.
