Document Description
The project activities involve the removal of contaminated soils and debris that pose a threat to human health and the environment. The removal action provides protection of human health and the environment through excavation and disposal of contaminated soil exceeding recommended removal goals for metals and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, pentachlorophenol, and dioxin/furans. The excavation addresses the Remedial Action Objectives by removing and disposing of contaminated soils at existing licensed disposal facilities outside the boundaries of the Site. It is the objective of this removal action to be the only and last action taken at the Site to address contaminated media at the Site. This project also includes the abandonment/sealing of three unused monitoring wells at the Site, in a manner according to applicable state and local regulations.
