The Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) is proposing Corrective Actions (CAs) for waste generation sites at six locations in the Yosemite National Park (YNP). The majority of the sites are considered a Former Waste Disposal Area (FWDA). The six sites include:
- Curry FWDA (located in Yosemite Valley),
- El Capitan FWDA (located in Yosemite Valley),
- Cascades (located in Yosemite Valley),
- Pohono Pit (located in Yosemite Valley),
- South Pit (located in Yosemite Valley), and
- Mather FWDA (located near Hetch Hetchy dam).
