After staff review and analysis, staff intends to file a Notice of Exemption (NOE) with the Los Angeles County Clerk (if the Planning Commission agrees), finding that the proposed project is Categorically Exempt pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), Section 15305, Class 5 (a), minor setback variance not resulting in the creation of any new parcel. The proposed Zone Variance will allow a reduction of the required 20’ wide landscape setback for properties fronting on a major highway.
