Document Description
Pavement rehabilitation in Economy Lot and replacement of existing bus shelters with the installation of four new shuttle bus shelters. Pavement rehabilitiation will entail milling approximately 700,000 square feet of existing paved surface to a depth of 3-5 inches and replacing with new asphalt surface. New asphalt will extend to transitions to where it meets the surrounding pavement surfaces. The project area is a previously disturbed area that is completely covered with paved surfaces and is currently utilized for customer parking. The project objective is to repurpose as much of the existing paved surface as possible to reduce project costs and impact. All work will be limited to existing disturbed surfaces and all staging and construction laydown areas will utilize an existing laydown area.

The project consists of the replacement of an existing parking lot and four bus shelters within the parking lot. The project is not listed on any list of hazardous waste sites compiled pursuant to Section 65962.5 of the Government Code, is not located within the vicinity or viewshed of a scenic resource, and would not result in an impact to a biological resource, cultural resource, or another environmental resource. The project does not change the size, purpose or capacity of the parking lot from the existing use. For all of these reasons, the project is exempt from the provisions of CEQA.
