California State Parks would like to install a steel pole gate at Indian Grinding Rock State Historic Park in Amador County for visitor and resource protection. This is an amendment to "Install Three Security Gates" (SCH# 2009128129) which approved installation of three (3) gates at Indian Grinding Rock State Park, but one (1) of those gates was too close to Pine Grove Volcano Road and was not installed at the time of the original project completion.

Project consists of the operation or minor alteration of existing public or private structures or facilities involving negligible or no expansion of use beyond current levels; construction and location of limited new numbers of new, small facilities or structures and is included as "fencing and gates" in the Department of Parks and Recreation's list of exempt activities in accordance with CCR§ 15300.4, and the minor public or private alterations in the condition of land, water, and/or vegetation which do not involve removal of healthy, mature, scenic trees except for forestry or agricultural purposes.
