The Project is to remove a concrete overpour that is approximately 12-feet long by 9-feet wide by 5-inches high from the Bay 1 stoplog slot of the Suisun Marsh Salinity Control Gate facility. Removal of this concrete overpour is necessary to perform maintenance on Radial Gate 1.

The project is exempt because it consists of the repair and maintenance of the existing SMSCG facility by removal of the concrete overpour described above. The SMSCG is an existing artificial waterway device used to control salinity in the Suisun Marsh to meet permit conditions of the State Water Project. The project would not result in any exceptions, listed under CEQA Guidelines Section 15300.2, requiring the preparation of environmental documents under CEQA.
