Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes replacing three (3) culverts along State Route (SR) 132, at post miles (PM) 3.51, 17.43, and 17.84, in Mariposa County. The scope of work at PM 3.51 includes replacing the existing 18” Corrugated Steel Pipe (CSP) with an 18” Reinforced Concrete Pipe (RCP). At PM 17.43 the existing 18” CSP will be replaced with an 18” RCP, and the headwall at the inlet will be replaced. At PM 17.84 the existing 24” CSP will be replaced with a 24” RCP, and the headwalls at the inlet and outlet will be replaced. All work will occur within existing Caltrans Right of Way. The purpose of this project is to improve culvert function and flow capacity. The project is needed to extend the service life of SR-132 and ensure motorist safety over these drainages.
