Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes a safety improvement project for the intersection of State Route 59 and Gerard Avenue in Merced County near the City of Merced. Two build alternatives and a no-build alternative are being considered. The proposed build alternatives feature the choice of a traffic signal or a single-lane roundabout.
Project activities would include work off the paved roadway, trenching, grading or other ground disturbance, drainage work, excess soil, tree and vegetation removal, structures on or adjacent to the proposed right-of-way, utility relocation, night work, and acquiring additional right-of-way.
