Document Description
The project is limited to the following activities:1) Demolition of the existing pier including removal of the eleven support pilings; 2) Construction of the proposed pier including driving 20 new steel pilings into the lakebed resulting in 12.75 square feet of benthic coverage, or an increase of 5.8 square feet of benthic coverage from the existing pier. The new the pier will be extended to the pier headline to a point short of the pier headline in order to comply with the maximum scenic mass under current design standards. The proposed pier is aligned in a similar location as the existing pier, adhering to the setback standards under the current design standards. The total length of the proposed pier is 147-feet, with a conforming pier head of 30-feet in length by 10-feet in width, with an adjustable 30-foot catwalk proposed at the pier head; 3) Additionally, a boatlift is proposed for the southern side of the pier head.
