Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has issued Restoration Management Permit Number RMP-2022-0003-R2), pursuant to section 2081(a) of the Fish and Game Code to the project Permittee, Tahoe Regional Planning Agency. The project is expected to build watershed resiliency and forest health by accelerating development of forest characteristics more typical of late-seral forests, reducing fire hazards and chronic sediment inputs to creeks, and enhancing terrestrial and aquatic habitat for native species. Vegetation management, aquatic restoration, road removal, and remediation of illegal cannabis cultivation sites will occur over approximately 53,000-acres and be phased over approximately the next 30 years.
