Document Description
This project will restore approximately one acre of coastal sage scrub habitat at Torrey Pines SNR. The project site is located above Flintkote Avenue, 4.5 miles from the Los Peñasquitos lagoon inlet to the Pacific Ocean. The goal of this project is to expand the extent of coastal sage scrub (CSS), a declining vegetation type, thereby providing additional habitat and connectivity for species that depend on CSS. Ground disturbance is anticipated for planting, temporary transect markers and fencing, and erosion control. Depth of soil disturbance for container plants is anticipated to be a maximum of 12-18” depth, and 18-24” in depth for transect markers/fence posts.
