Document Description
Caltrans proposes a pavement preservation project in Monterey County on United States (US) 101, near King City. The project would use Capital Preventive Maintenance (CAPM) strategies to maintain the roadbed and improve ride quality. The project location extends from the Jolon Road undercrossing at post mile (PM) R41.9 to Lagomarsino Avenue PM 49.8. The scope includes cold plane the existing open grade friction course (OGFC) and place 0.15’ rubberized hot mix asphalt (RHMA) overlay. Secondary improvements include replace or rehabilitation of three drainage culverts, construct streetlights at the Jolon Road interchange, reconstruction of a Greenfield weigh-in-motion (WIM), upgrading guardrail to current standards, and add sample count detector loops.
