Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes a drainage improvement project proposes to repair or replace four (4) culverts. The scope of work is likely to include that the pipes at all four (4) locations will be replaced with a Reinforced Concrete Pipe (RCP) with a minimum of 24" diameter. Also, existing
headwalls/end treatments may also be replaced based on the hydraulic recommendation and will include open trenching/excavation and backfill. The purpose of this project is to restore function to the drainage system and stabilize the embankment. The project is needed to prevent complete embankment failure and ensure safety of the traveling public.
