Document Description
Siskiyou Telephone is proposing to install approximately 2.3 miles of fiber optic lines within High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) conduit in the State Route 96 right-of-way, post mile 60.44 to 62.50, near the community of Seiad Valley in Siskiyou County. Installation would primarily be performed on the north side of the highway via open trenching and the jack and bore method. Most of the proposed line would be installed within the road shoulder; a minor amount of line would occur within the pavement. Additionally, an aerial segment would be attached to the Klamath River Bridge. To facilitate line installation, traffic control would be performed during the proposed work. Caltrans would issue an encroachment permit to allow for the proposed work to occur within State right-of-way.

The project would not have a significant effect on the environment.
