Document Description
The project is limited to the installation of a new private boat dock along the Sacramento River. The private boat dock will be a 27-foot by 42-foot aluminum structure containing a 12-foot by 14-foot boat slip. The dock will be supported by encased foam flotation per current in-water standards. A 4-footwide aluminum dock access bridge will be installed to serve as a rigid strut between the dock and a 6- foot by 9-foot concrete landing on the bank of the Sacramento River. The bridge strut will be hinged at each end to adjust for changes in the river levels and will be fitted with encased foam floatation tubs to accommodate flood event flows. Galvanized steel cables, attached to the dock and to two 4-foot by 4- foot Deadman concrete block anchors, will stabilize the dock during flood tide and ebb current flows as well as transfer the lateral forces to the shore.
