Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes group re-lamping at three (3) different off-ramp intersections in San Joaquin County: on eastbound State Route (SR) 4 at post mile (PM) R16.63, on northbound SR-99 at PM 9.18, and on southbound SR-99 at PM 9.18. The scope of work includes replacing all traffic signal heads at each location (as a group), because they have surpassed or are almost at their manufacturer recommended lifespan. All work will occur within Caltrans existing Right of Way. The purpose of this project is to upgrade the existing traffic signals that have met their recommended service life and to meet current signal standards. The project is needed to reduce the frequency of lamp outages and need for future maintenance.
